The cosy winter sports village of St. Lorenzen ob Murau at Kreischberg has grown into an attractive holiday destination with luxury villas and ski chalets at the foot of the Kreischberg ski area.

At a few kilometres’ distance lies the historical town of Murau. The intimate old town centre offers various shops, restaurants and cosy terraces as well as numerous medieval sights. Just outside the city centre are a number of modern and easy to reach supermarkets.
Kreischberg has a very sporty image
Kreischberg has a sporty image because in 2003 it organized a big competition for the first time: the Snowboarding World Championships. Since then, the world’s toppers regularly return to the snow-sure mountain. The area has been developing continuously in recent years with the expansion of new slopes (totalling more than 40 km) and lifts. In December 2013 a new 10-person gondola lift was put into use.
The snow park is now considered one of the best in Austria. In addition, the ski area of Kreischberg is very suitable for families. It is well organized so that you can meet up again and again and the modern lifts ensure optimal transport.
It is striking that you can go through the whole area with blue-level slopes. The valley descent is also easy to do. Every corner and every peak is reachable via both easy and difficult routes. It is this feature especially that makes the area very all-round and friendly, even for less-experienced skiers. The ski school is internationally organized and has an excellent reputation. There is a special “Kids World” where the little ones can play and take their ski lessons.
A lot to offer with its many lakes, hike- and bike trails and the 18 holes golf course
In the summer it is great to stay here and enjoy the many lakes, hiking trails and bicycling paths, not to mention the 18-hole golf course Murau Kreischberg. The more than 200 sunny days per year, the guaranteed-to-be-snowy ski area and the golf course ensure a perfect holiday environment in all seasons.
A few kilometres away is the historic town of Murau with numerous medieval sights. The town was founded by a number of noble families around 1250, it was a crossroad of trade routes and developed into a local centre for trade and industry. The cosy Altstadt is a nice town centre with various shops, supermarkets, cosy terraces, restaurants and many medieval sights.
The 18-hole / par 72 golf course Murau Kreischberg is two kilometres away from the apartments. The extensive golf course is beautifully situated in the valley on the Mur River and offers a beautiful view of the rolling hills of the surrounding mountain landscape. The courses, which runs through the forest, along the river and over a green alpine meadow, are highly appreciated by enthusiasts. From the clubhouse two rounds of nine holes can be played. There is a driving range, chipping area and putting green.

Of course you can also handle the rental of your apartment yourself.

You can choose to finance part of the house. Even if you have sufficient funds to purchase without finance, a mortgage in Austria can be an interesting prospect.
